vintage inspired tv series

Recently appeared so many new series where women are jumping in these lingerie pieces from 50s. Most of them are based in 60s and these times are also propagated in fashion magazines. For me it means screaming on the street - You look great! it's 60s! or Have you seen that? It's 60s style.
I know that whatever appears in media becomes the absolute truth.
But no one can hide the fact that this time brought trapezium form, Twiggy, geometrical patterns, pink or coral lipsticks, horrible-terrible tights and mini !!! The only exception is early 60s.
Since it's not my favourite era I started to ignore all comments about it, however still I appreciate compliments.

If you belong to vintage planes fan club this series is for you.
Pan Am in trying hard to show that stewardesses were definitively not discriminated but powerful women! Spies and romances that's what you get.
You don't get nice prepared scenery. No amazing hairstyles, no inspiring make - up, no clothes you want to wear now! immediately! Actresses look somehow a bit ridiculous in these not perfectly finished costumes.
And for sure soon if not already for a small fortune you can buy Pan Am blue bag and run around the city with it!

Again in 60s. Again powerful women working in Playboy Club. Everything could be better and it is a bit more than Pan Am. 90% is occupied by bunny costumes which doesn't make a difference if the action is actually in 60s or any other time.
But producers invest much more in hairdressers!
Main male character... has the voice of Don Draper. I'm pretty sure that's one of strong advertising points and still the best part.

The Absolute Winner. The beginning is the best because it's still in 50s. New season will be Again in 60s which is changing the fashion and hairstyles to less impressive - for me.
But the series is the winner of second plan, not mentioning the first one. Everyone look great and perfect. There's no detail that is left behind. It's a visual masterpiece!!!
And none of existing series will never reach even half of this perfection.

I have to admit I haven't sacrificed much time and stuck on 1st season only. It's in 20s and even though it's a very graceful subject still I wasn't amazed with pictures, scenery and costumes.

Mad Men is the winner !!!
