Vintage Swimming Suit

Summer is over, there's only waiting for winter now. 
There's no point to write about swimming suits, what I'm going to do and no point to shop for one, what I just did.
All vintage Lovers, who doesn't like bathing costume shape from 40s and 50s ?
Showing less than more, especially hip area, sometimes with stiff boning. My man hates the way it looks from behind. Well, did it ever stop me from buying it?
Makes me shiver but since Brazilian Waxing hasn't been born yet, so built up costumes helped to hide what's inevitable.

Anyway... My boyfriend has mixed feelings towards the one I have...
From acceptance to hate, sometimes even aggression but still finds some power to ask me 'please never wear it again'.

In the end he felt relief when I showed him Lady K Loves vintage swimming suits reproduction that he found most disturbing. I did as well.. think it looks pretty glamour-less. 

Some Vintage just should stay in Vintage.

Except For Luna that is so adorable !!! so burlesque and so colour-and-contrast and expensive obviously.

Quite quickly I found on eBay, obviously, genuine two piece bathing suit, made of cotton from early 60s with original labels that cost me just few pounds. Bra is bullet bra shape and it's based on a long one piece wire that you can't bend so forget about comfortable and efficient holiday packing system. I will have to tighten the strap around bust and neck and fix few stitches. Apart of that it's just perfect but perhaps still too old fashioned at the back for my man but he'll have to find this out next summer since I'm filtering reality to him ...sometimes.

I have no idea about other men but I'm afraid that it can be the case... one piece 40s50s shape may be just out of sexy look for male side. Other option means it's me, I'd rather not think about it.
and it doesn't mean I don't like it.

I was always wondering what to do with your head since bathing cap is absolutely out of question. Pin curls and rollers out of logical sense. 

Exceptionally scarf may be in use...

Hairstyle is a Lifestyle

Just started working. Sitting and waiting, ready to deal. I feel good..I felt good. Suddenly I hear: 'What have you done to yourself!?!'.
I'm puzzled. 'hmmmmm... n-nothing.(?)' Regular customer in front of me. His pressed lips and shaking head expose disapproval of the landscape before him. 'Yesterday you looked so beautiful!!! what did you do!?!' And he's leaving truly concerned still shaking his head. What did I do? or what didn't I do. I did not make my hair. Just put it flat together with some slight wave which was suppose to give some vintage 'something'. As I really like louis vuitton hairstyle in this particular show, this gentleman decided... it's a shit.

So what does the most create this vintage something?
Seamed stockings, high waist, dress length, hats, gloves, petticoats, eyeliner, red lips... well, no.

Hairstyle.

Dita von Teese is using hot rollers - only small ones - that for me are a waist of time. It's heavy, uncomfortable, takes a lot of time and doesn't keep the curls. I have thin and flexible hair. Many women get up, brush their hair, throw it backwards and they look astonishing.
I haven't been born with those extra features so I do pin curls.

It takes practise but in the end it takes me 10-15min with eyes shut, going to sleep and brushing in the morning, kilo of hairspray and done.

In my second- day- hair (I wash it every second day) I put some conditioner before brushing out the hairspray that tends to break my hair and still make pin curls but much bigger and rather carelessly since I discovered it tends to style much easier and effect is more smooth.

Hairspray is essential. Things I like are :

CHI Royal Treatment Hairspray, unavailable easily in Europe...
and

Fudge membrane gas Amazing !!! available everywhere online in UK and in hair salons. 
Both with a nice scent and great hold.
But I do load tones of conditioner before brushing hair after the long day to prevent breaking it. 
Haircut is a great help! This what I took to my hairdresser who has no knowledge of pin curls:

So pin curls based hairstyle is a Lifestyle.

When you finally get experienced, get to know what you have - most women can't do their own hair - you find out how easy and quick and glamorous it is.

There are no ugly women, only lazy ones.

Practise pin curls patterns and angles. Get straight bobby pins; straight, no ridges !!!

I do it always... better or worse, more or less precise and it always works for me.

But can you look good in it? Judge yourself. When my Love said 'You would look good in short hair' looking at completed hair set, I thought he went mad.

Tibi has his birthday

It's Tibis birthday. 

No, not today, on 25th, but nothing can possibly collide (f.ex. Mr G's visit)    with this date which is just as National Holiday, so just in case I celebrate it earlier and so this is my Gift...

I fallow his instructions - he forced me not to buy him any presents since Life with me is the biggest thing he could ever had (yes Ladies! My Man is really romantic). So as always obedient I decided to give him this..

I guess I've never told him how much he makes me happy and how important he is in my life.

I've never met anybody who could be so perfect in space sharing as he is. That's definitively the basic secret of our relationship. I appreciate so much his sense of order and organization. 

And all those little things he does...

• Sometimes I wonder perhaps he thinks I'm disabled since no man ever took care of me the way he does. In spite of my wide knowledge about cartography that I had during my studies he will still draw a clear route (if I want to go shopping) on my map and huge cross to point our flat so even if I try, I can't get lost. 
• He knows how much I hate to get up in the morning...and at any other time so he will always call me (if can't do it personally) from wherever he is and make sure I'm up at required time.
• It's enough to mention what I like to eat, to find kilos of it the next day. And he will always make sure it's there in huge amount... always and forever.
• When I have so-so-day, suddenly I find my favourite wine chilled in the fridge.
• He is not drinking, has no knowledge about alcohol but after all this time he practised and can  find so tasty wines that I started to wonder...does he get help from out of space.
• When I'm sick he will make sure I have all medicines I need.
• I never carry or lift anything if he's around. With my growing heart I'm looking at him, bended under tons of shopping bags and backpack, and I want to take something just to help him since I have only a clutch bag, and he's screaming at me to leave him alone because all this heavy weight 'helps him to keep the balance'.
• Sometimes he's shouting that he will throw out my two guys (cats) after one of them pees or vomits here and there, but secretly I know that he loves them a lot.
• He pays attention to what I like and dislike.
• He brings me flowers !!!
• He's not smoking because of me.

He is a good person. You don't find many people like this nowadays. Sometimes I do feel like a bad one next to him; ignoring red lights, putting back everything not on it's place, plotting, being 'a bit' vicious; but must admit I get over it quite fast so we can stay in a happy balanced relationship. (and don't you ever try to use this against me!)

He learnt to tolerate me looking quite strange sometimes. And he still likes me best from the 'kitchen side' of my look. He will always be honest and tell me that 'I'm wide in this as a bike road', 'I look in this like a man' (it made me very angry once) and in that as 'russian babushka' or 'cleaning lady'. 

He's my Love, my Today and Tomorrow.

That's why I love to spoil him. He's always happy as a small boy. 

Because I want only this what's the best for him (I hope it's good) I made a cake with his favourite cookies that he's obsessed with recently.

For you My Love, I did it all by myself, only for you. 
It does tastes better than it looks for sure!
